when my mom and i traveled to ukraine a while back, we were treated to shashlyk (russian for shish-kabob) and it was amazing. somebody also gave me a cat while we were there but that is a different story. anyway, would you believe this is the first time i've ever made shish-kabobs? we had chicken wrapped in bacon, too. next time i'd cook the bacon first, but it turned out pretty well. shashlyk is a winner!
