we ate our first meal at the finished table tonight. ben and i felt a little dwarfed when we found ourselves sitting really far away from each other—and, at a table that is the proper height. but these feelings of smallness were only caused by the fact that we've been eating at a too-short, too-small folding table for way, way too long.
love it. heartfelt thanks to our hardworking friend, bert, who fashioned the top for us. i hope to have this dining table for a long time.
