ben's sister, maggie, had her baby yesterday afternoon. his name is isaac and he is beautiful. i didn't get many good pictures of him, but others did and they are all over facebook if you know maggie and want to investigate.
when we stepped into the hospital room, i was overcome. i often cry when we visit a new baby, but i cried more than usual this time. wes and maggie are already amazing parents and i am so thrilled to be aunt to this little gift. we are praising and thanking God for the safe delivery of this precious baby boy. we pray he will grow up to treasure Christ and enjoy Him forever.
oh, and p.s. after we watched maggie eat her delicious-looking food we went home and made pancakes and bacon. :)
So happy for her! I checked her FB and didn't see any pictures...hmm. That first recovery meal is SO good...they don't let you eat during all those hours of labor (a good reason of course), so when you DO get to eat, it's so wonderful. Congratulations again, Aunt Amy and Uncle Ben!
ReplyDeleteYay! Congrats to Maggie and Wes! What a blessing. I find it interesting to see what a new mama chooses as her first meal after giving birth. :) With Claire i had spaghetti and meatballs and with Max I had spaghetti and chips/gauc from Chipotle. I'm sure Maggie enjoyed her french toast! You're going to be an amazing aunt (again) to Isaac!
